THE Masterplan was drawn up by Terra Firma, landscaping architects, HGP - the Fareham-based architects who designed Portsmouth's Spinnaker Tower - and Planning Solutions, experts in tourism marketing and regeneration.
Their report on Hayling states: "The current facilities are currently outdated, uninviting and do not appeal to potential visitors.
"Connections to the water frontage are poor and therefore many potential attractions are uneconomic to build.
"Those attractions that are currently located along the seafront in no way respond to the many potential benefits it offers.
