Federal regulators gave Molson Coors and SABMiller the green light to proceed with a joint venture combining their U.S. brewing operations.
The two brewing giants said in a statement that they expect to close on their proposed MillerCoors joint venture "on or about June 30."
The clearance from the U.S. Justice Department's antitrust division is one of the last key hurdles that the companies faced before they could seal the deal. In a statement, the antitrust division said the combination is not likely to hurt competition much in the U.S. beer industry.
