There are so many names in the photography business with roots--deep, deep roots--names that go way back. One of them is Calumet Photographic Inc., headquartered in Chicago, Ill., a company with origins back to the late '30s.
OK, perhaps not as old as Kodak (1888), Canadian retailer Henry's (1909), Leica (1907), or Nikon (1917), but almost as old as Canon (1933) and Jessops in the United Kingdom (1935), and certainly a lot older than Germany's CeWe Color (1961).
