Polyethylene
In early April 2008, the price of PE (polyethylene) continued to be down. Except for HDPE (high density polyethylene) film with apparent price drop, the prices of other varieties of PE were basically remained stable.
In mid-April, the price of HDPE for the production of injection molding materials was up rapidly in response to the decrease output and high cost of imported goods.
At the end of April, due to the overhaul of some units, the price of LLDPE (linear low density polyethylene) increased considerably. The price of HDPE and LDPE (low density polyethylene) fluctuated at a high level with few trading actions.
