SAN FRANCISCO _ AIDS activist Jeff Getty, who underwent a risky baboon bone-marrow cell transplant last month, walked out of San Francisco General Hospital on Thursday morning and said he plans to go sailing soon.
``After 22 days in isolation, I feel like I just came back from the moon,'' Getty said with a grin.
Getty, 38, of Oakland, Calif., still suffers from mild symptoms of advanced HIV, but his immune system is back to the level it was before the infusion, Getty's doctor, Steven Deeks, said.
