Photo books are a hot product for professional imagers. There's no standard, however, for a "typical" photo book. These days, customers can get everything from a simple, soft-cover book for less than $20, to an elaborate, custom-made, museum-quality book costing thousands of dollars.
The demand for high-end, custom-made books is rising. For instance, George Champagne, president of Abar Film & Digital Imaging, Providence, R.I., and his family created a 400-page, custom-made, professional-quality, hardcover book celebrating the family, for close to $500 per book.
