Onexim not to make second offer for Polyus shares - Prokhorov (Part 2)
ST. PETERSBURG. June 7 (Interfax) - Mikhail Prokhorov's Onexim Group will not make a repeat offer to buy the quasi-treasury shares in No. 1 Russian gold producer Polyus Gold (RTS: PLZL), Prokhorov himself told reporters during the Economic Forum in St. Petersburg.
"I've got around 30% right now and I'm happy with that," he said.
Polyus said on Thursday that Alrosa (RTS: ALRS), Russia's Yakutia- based diamond monopoly, had offered to buy the 6.54% block of 12.48 million quasi-treasury shares, held by the BVI-registered Jenington International Inc., "at a fair price." The gold ...
