Caterpillar Inc., the biggest supplier of methane-powered generators in Asia, may sell equipment for the world's largest power plant fueled by the gas, one of the company's dealers in China said.
The project in Jincheng city, in northern Shanxi province of China, will generate as many as 240 megawatts, double the size of an existing plant, said Martin Bryant, China managing director at WesTrac Pty, Caterpillar's dealer in northern China and Australia. WesTrac is controlled by Australian billionaire Kerry Stokes.
