Hera SpA said its first-quarter EBITDA rose 14.7 percent on the year to 154.3 million euros on the back of higher distribution volumes in both gas and power, a better trading performance and the consolidation of recent acquisitions.

Sales in the period rose 34.1 percent to 1.001 billion euros while EBIT was up 16.8 percent at 101.7 million euros.

Hera said its pretax profits in the period rose 12.2 percent to 78.5 million euros.
