The words rattle a bicyclist's chain like a mile of rocky road.
"The bike racers seem to think the roads are theirs," Warren Selectman Robert W. Souza Jr. said during a May 27 meeting at which the Board of Selectmen voted to discontinue support of the annual Sturbridge and Palmer road races. Without contacting the race organizer and without any attempt to resolve concerns, Warren officials killed the annual two-day bike races in Warren that attracted hundreds of racers each year.
If so many racers in Warren acted so badly, then they deserve to lose the event there. But that does not appear to be the ...
