HAYLING Island Sailing Club hosted the Glyn Charles Memorial Charity Race, on April 26.
There were 215 entries, including one from our Olympic Girls and 175 starters with some 100 visiting dinghies.
The weather was beautiful - the best day of the year so far - with temperatures nearly up to 20 degrees Centigrade with a light breeze - not that that suited everybody.
The racing was fun and sociable especially at the first windward mark where tide and wind combined to create a great mass of boats all struggling to get round the buoy - see the picture taken by Lucy Jamesons of aroundthecans.co.uk
