COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.--Jan. 4--The Rocky Mountain News will end home delivery of the newspaper in most of Colorado's 63 counties, including El Paso, effective Feb. 29, leaving The Denver Post as the only statewide newspaper.
The News will concentrate its home circulation efforts within the six- county Denver metropolitan area and in seven nearby counties.
It's a dramatic shift in strategy in one of the nation's most competitive newspaper wars.
