JAKARTA, June 10 Asia Pulse - At least 15 companies including foreign steel companies plan investment worth Rp2 trillion (US$222 million) in Indonesia this year.

The foreign investors include steel makers from South Korea, Australia and China.

BlueScope International from Australia plans to build a new factory to produce roll formed sheet steel in Medan, North Sumatra under its subsidiary PT BlueScope Lysaght Indonesia.

Another subsidiary, PT BlueScope Steel Indonesia is already starting expansion in Cilegon, Batam with an investment of US$113 million, to increase its zinc aluminum production capacity from 100,000 tons to 300,000 tons a ...
