Golden Frontier Bhd is investing USD 5.5 M (RM18mil) this year to expand its two corrugated packaging materials plants in Vietnam. Executive chairman Datuk Khor Teng How said the exercise would triple the production capacity of its Hanoi plant. The plant in Hanoi is now producing about 15,000 tonnes of corrugated packaging materials per annum. Upon completion of the expansion exercise next September, production will increase to 45,000 tonnes, he told StarBiz. Khor said the exercise would also raise the yearly output of its Ho Chi Minh City plant to 70,000 tonnes by next September from 45,000 tonnes presently.
