Argentine government officials and Buenos Aires province governor Daniel Scioli signed an agreement to assign a US$270mn World Bank loan to improve infrastructure in the province, online news service Infobae reported. The loan has an 11 year term and includes a four-year grace period.

The funding will be used to improve the greater Buenos Aires road network to reduce accidents and increase safety, and to ensure a smoother exit for produce and facilitate its entry to the ports, Scioli was quoted as saying. Investments of approximately US$113mn will be allotted for road improvements, the report said.
