Baghdad, Apr 8, (VOI) a" Leader of the Sadrist movement, Sayid Muqtada al-Sadr, consulted the clergy about dissolving the Mahdi Army, but they "rejected" this issue, said a Sadrist spokesperson on Tuesday.
He also repeated al-Sadr's instructions to his followers to postpone the demonstration he recently demanded them to join on Wednesday, to "preserve their blood."
In a press conference on Tuesday, Sheikh Salah al-Obaidi read a statement signed by the movement's leader, saying that Sayid Muqtada al-Sadr demands "the beloved Iraqi people who want to demonstrate against the occupation, to postpone the demonstration, because I want ...
