Patanase Nasal Spray
(olopatadine HCl, Alcon Inc.)
The Food and Drug Administration approved Patanase nasal spray for the relief of symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis in patients aged 12 years and older.
* Recommended Dosage: Two sprays per nostril twice daily is the recommended dosage.
* Special Considerations: Bitter taste, headache, epistaxis, pharyngolaryngeal pain, and postnasal drip were adverse events reported in clinical trials that occurred more frequently among those treated with Patanase nasal spray vs. those using a vehicle spray.
