[Television] News Corporation has further increased its stake in German satellite operation Premiere, raising its shareholding from 14.6 per cent to 19.9 per cent. News Corporation acquired the 14.6 per cent stake from cable operator Unity Media in January 2008, after the TV company was forced by the Cartel Office to divest itself of the stake. The increase from the stake initially acquired indicates that News Corporation is confident of the prospects of Premiere's continued success in the market.
