SEOUL, June 11 Asia Pulse - South Korea's money supply grew at the fastest pace in more than five years in April on the back of ample liquidity provided by financial institutions, the central bank said Wednesday.

The country's liquidity aggregate reached 2,164.8 trillion won (US$2.11 trillion) in April, up 14.6 per cent from a year earlier, according to the Bank of Korea (BOK). The liquidity aggregate, the broadest measure of money supply, covers currency in circulation, all types of deposits at financial institutions, and state and corporate bonds.
