OXFORD David I. Big Daddy Barrie, 72, of Beverly St., died peacefully on Sunday, June 8, 2008, at Sunbridge-Sandalwood Nursing Home, Oxford, with his family by his side. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Barbara J. (Holyoke) Barrie of Oxford; four children, Susan G. Rys and her husband David of Woodstock, CT, Sheryl A. Parker of Oxford, Scott D. Barrie and his companion Terry of Oxford, and Sally L. Belanger-Metzger and her husband Ron Metzger of Sutton; his sister, M. Patricia Barrie of West Boylston, a sister-in-law Anna Barrie of Holden; seven grandchildren, Jaryd, Katie, Sarah, Tracy, Jill, Jane, and Tyler; and a great-grandson, Dylan.
