Article: Sportsmen battle HSUS.(NewsWatch)(Humane Society of the United States)

HAVING only recently extended a hand of cooperation to the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), the U.S. Department of Agriculture has now been asked to use it to smack the animal rights/vegetarian-promoting organization.

In a letter to Agriculture Secretary Ed Schafer, the U.S. Sportsmen's Alliance (USSA) requested that USDA remove the name of HSUS from the department's web site listing of "Shelters, Rescue and Welfare Organizations," noting that HSUS is none of those but is, rather, an organization that "campaigns against fur, hunting and trapping."
