AFRICA is not the place often portrayed in the general media but is a continent of people advancing in many ways, according to J.B. Penn, chief economist at Deere & Co., and Van Yeutter, director of international business development at Cargill Inc.
Africa has 53 countries, and most of them are not only politically stable but are creating opportunities for investors and people every day, Penn and Yeutter said in phone calls with Feedstuffs.
Both Cargill and Deere are members of The Corporate Council on Africa, which encourages U.S. investment in Africa and helps U.S. companies get on the ground there.
