So much so, in fact, that it was immortalised in Phil Coulters song The Town ILoved So Well, which includes a line about the shirt factory horn calling localwomen to work each morning.

But now the citys last designer and manufacturer of prestige mens shirts isclosing with the loss of its remaining 30 workers.
