COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.--Jan. 3--Driven by higher housing costs, the cost of living in Colorado Springs continued to climb faster than most other cities in the United States during the third quarter, according to a survey by the American Chamber of Commerce Researchers Association.
Still, the cost of living index for Colorado Springs remained a bit lower than the national average. The ACCRA quarterly study of 322 metro areas said the city's composite index score, based on compiling costs for housing, utilities, groceries and other expenses, was 99.6, up from 97.8 in the second quarter.
