Article: Army officer found dead inside headquarters in Fort Bonifacio.

MANILA, April 24(PNA)--An Army colonel committed suicide inside his quarters at Fort Bonifacio in neighboring Taguig City early this morning due to " personal problem," initial police reports said.

The man was identified by police as Col. Roberto Caldeo, 48, single, a staff officer at the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Command and General Staff College. He reportedly left a suicide note, but police would not disclose its contents except to refer to "a personal problem."

Army spokesman, Lt. Col. Ernesto Torres Jr., said, however, that while the army is conducting a parallel probe, it cannot conclude that the case was a suicide.
