Article: New Caledonia buys 22-million-dollar vessel from Cebu shipbuilder.

CEBU CITY, May 17 (PNA) Officials of the South Province of New Caledonia and Loyalty Islands have ordered one passenger-vehicle ferry worth US$ 22 million from the Balamban, Cebu-based shipbuilding firm FBMA Marine Inc., an Aboitiz-owned company.

Alain Descombels, president of the commission of economic development of New Caledonia South Province, said the group chose to have FBMA Marine manufacture the vessel that will connect the major islands in the French overseas territory.
