A GORDON dog has become a star after his crimefighting skills made the national press and morning television, writes Simon Duke.
Cromwell, the English mastiff, isn't exactly your ordinary run-of-the-mill pet. But the fact that he is 22-stone certainly makes him a force to be reckoned with, as one burglar found out to his cost.
Cromwell, who appeared on GMTV on Tuesday morning, was peacefully enjoying his bone when he heard a noise in the family's back garden. No-one is entirely sure what happened next - apart from Cromwell and the would-be thief - but owner George Watson, who was in the bath at the time, said he heard "a scream, a roar and commotion" ...
