Phase-change materials help take the heat out of the bedroom.(Domestic)

A new bed has been enhanced by the use of a temperature-regulating technology.

The Sleep Number[R] 7000 bed uses a technology based on phase-change materials (PCMs) called Outlast[R] that is available from OutlastTechnologies of Boulder, Colorado, USA.

According to a recent survey conducted by Select Comfort Corp, creators of the Sleep Number bed, one in five Americans reports having disagreements with their partners about the sleeping temperature, and about 37% have trouble falling asleep because they are too hot.
