Hyosung has begun production of its creora[R] brand elastane (spandex) fibre at a new factory in Cerkezkoy, near Istanbul,Turkey.
When fully operational, the Cerkezkoy plant will produce 10 kt a year. Its product mixture will include:
* fine titre fibres (creora[R] lite) of 22 and 33 dtex, meeting customers' demands for lighter weight fabrics--a trend Hyosung sees across all categories of garment; and
* creora[R] performance h-350 which is suitable for use in denim, being able to resist the aggressive finishing employed in the fabric's manufacture, and for blends with polyester where high temperature dyeing is often used.
