Warner Bros. continues to march to its own beat. While most studios are unconditionally moving toward shorter pay-per-view movie windows, Warner Bros. is requiring upfront guarantees for many of those same windows on all of its titles.

After shrinking the PPV avail window for three of its March titles, in April, Warner will offer three films to operators at a slightly longer 42 days - in order to boost home video sales - while still imposing a "substantial" guarantee on operators, said Ed Bleier, president of domestic pay-TV, cable and network features.
