Continental inaugurates LHR Open Skies.(Europe)

Continental Airlines launched nonstop flights from London's Heathrow to its New York and Houston hubs to mark the beginning of the new US-EU Open Skies agreement on March 30. Until now, the airline has been prevented from operating to Heathrow by the US-UK bilateral air services agreement.

The US carrier now operates four daily departures from Heathrow; two to New York Liberty and two to Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport.
