Irish budget carrier Ryanair has told the owners of the 60 airports it flies to that it expects them to 'share the pain' of its 400 million [euro] cost-cutting drive over the next 12 months.
It is negotiating with the airport operators on an austerity plan it says has been brought about by rises in fuel prices and its wish to avoid fare increases. It expects its fuel bill to rise by 400 million [euro] in the next financial year.
As well as freezing the pay of 36 senior managers, Ryanair will roll out automated check-in facilities at Dublin and London/Stansted--and eventually ...
