Potential bidders are lining up as the first major US airport prepares for privatisation. Chicago Midway will undergo the process under an initiative launched by the FAA more than a decade ago. Five consortia are in the running to take control:
* Spain's Abertis Infraestructuras SA, Australia's Babcock & Brown Group and US-based GE Commercial Aviation Services.
