Deburring brushes use advanced filament technology.(ABRASIVES)

Weiler Corp, USA, has introduced aggressive, compliant deburring brushes that feature black nylon filaments that are co-extruded with ceramic grains.

Called the Burr-Rx brush, the abrasive has cut rates that are up to 400% faster than standard silicon carbide filaments, the company claims.

The aggression of the brushes reduces cycle times by allowing the use of high feed rates and short dwell times, resulting in increased throughput and lower deburring costs. In addition, they can remove burrs that were previously impossible to remove with conventional nylon abrasive filament brushes.
