Fire-resistant nonwoven glass tissue.(MATERIALS)

Owens Corning Inc, USA, has introduced the first nonwoven glass tissue reinforcement for direct pressure laminate flooring (DPL), which raises fire resistance and impact performance to levels that meet commercial standards. While DPL has long been popular in the residential market, the product can now be used for commercial applications such as hotels, restaurants and shops.

Owens Corning developed the DPL with Hans Schmid KG, Germany, a company that works in melamine and phenolic resin film impregnation.
