THE Drakes League are launching a fresh drive to cut down on dissent to umpires.
In a bid to improve relations, they are appealing for clubs to clamp down on back chat, sledging and the constant questioning of umpires decisions which seems to be creeping into the local game.
And it follows one team being awarded zero points (out of 10) in a recent fixture - amarking system which is part of umpires reports after each match and which goes towards an end-of-season team sportsmanship award.
