RAIL passengers were left in the lurch today after a train failed to arrive.
Travellers found the 7.17am Grand Central service to London did not turn up at Hartlepool.
Twenty-six people had to find an alternative route, with those travelling to London taken by taxi to Darlington.
Passengers hit out at the latest disruption from the trouble-hit train operator.
Nigel Crinson, 38, was travelling to a music show. He said: "They have not told us anything, it is inconvenient to say the least. I've got to go to Darlington and you can't get any compensation or discount.
"They are putting on taxis but it looks like I will have to pay ...
