James Wendell Jones James Wendell "Jim" Jones of Lake Isabella, Calif., a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday, May 25, 2008. Jim was born Oct. 24, 1926, in Elgin. He grew up in Elgin with his four brothers and two sisters during the Great Depression. In 1952, Jim met and married Virginia "Ginny" Markham, also of Elgin. They lived in and around Elgin for the next 36 years and their family grew to include six children.
