THE Outlet has announced a zero tolerance policy in their battle against shoplifters.
There have been reports of professional thieves targeting stores at the new multi-million pound shopping centre.
And some shops have stated shoplifters are using foil-lined bags to bypass the security tags.
"We have had a problem with shoplifters but a lot of that has been with schoolchildren rather than professional gangs," said Louise Connell, manager of Claire's.
A Marks and Spencer spokesperson said security has been stepped up at the store and Armani say security is something they take very seriously and constantly review.
