This month the Fondation Beyeler unveils a comprehensive special exhibition on Fernand Leger. Principally based on his paintings, it will present the French artist's main creative phases, and will in addition focus on the American dimension of his work. Leger was very enthusiastic about the USA, which he visited many times and where he created some significant works. Major works by American artists of the Pop Art generation, who were inspired by Leger and his novel concepts, will also be given a place in the show.
