Taiwan`s machinery equipment manufacturing industry saw export value amount to US$6.733 billion in the first five months of this year, a 11% year-on-year growth and a historic high, according to statistics compiled by the Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry (TAMI).
In terms of the NT-dollar, the export value reached NT$209.6 billion in the first five months of this year, up 5% from a year earlier.
Leading firms, including Awea Mechantronic Corp., Goodway Machine Corp., Tongtai Machine & Tool Co. and Roundtop Machinery Industries Co., have so far received sizable orders for shipments in the third quarter of this year.
