Mexico City has awarded a USD 1.7 billion contract to a three-member consortium to construct a 15-mile, 22-station subway line in the Mexican capital. The consortium includes Paris-based Alstom, Carso Infraestructura y Construccion SA, owned by billionaire Carlos Slim, and Ingenieros Civiles Asociados (ICA).
