SAN DIEGO, Calif.--Feb. 23--The months of anticipation, fueled by a brief appearance in the James Bond flick, "Goldeneye," as well as a slot in the Neiman-Marcus holiday catalog and even segments on the "Today" and "Tonight" shows, have ended. The BMW Z3 roadster is finally here.
But don't expect to buy one anytime soon.
"This is the most highly anticipated car BMW has ever brought to market,
particularly here in the United States," said Rob Mitchell, a BMW spokesman. Unusually strong buyer response to the Z3, and the emotional depth of it,
