While changing out of his uniform in the clubhouse at Midway Stadium, Coon Rapids baseball player Cory Miller reflected on his team's journey from a 1-7 record to qualifying for the state tournament.
There was much to ponder: a stretch of inconsistent baseball to start the season, questions from friends and family, the players-only meeting to regain focus and a six-game run through the playoffs.
"I thought, `Wow, we finally did it,'" he said. "It was exciting, and it was a relief."
