Historically, during presidential election years, there is a renewed interest in the League--a renewed interest in the valuable community services that we provide. These services that only--We--a trusted, respected nonpartisan organization--provide, include registering voters, answering questions about election policies and procedures, and creating forums where candidates can discuss substantive issues civilly. This year--when interest in elections has skyrocketed and the turnout at primaries and caucuses has more than doubled in many communities--is an important year to bring attention to the League and to ASK PEOPLE TO JOIN US.
