WITH Wimbledon fast approaching, it seems an apt time for Spalding Town Tennis Club to appeal for new members.
The club currently has 60 adult members and more than 50 juniors, but are keen to get more local people onto the courts at Holyrood Walk.
Players of any age and ability are welcome, with committee member Andy Rix stressing the sport is not just for the "upper class."
He said: "Tennis has become a bit of a minority sport over the years.
"People seem to think that only upper class people play tennis but it couldn't be further from the truth.
"Our doors are open to all people and I'd like to think we have a good time ...
