Chinese company Anhui Foreign Economic Construction Corporation (AFECC) is to carry out expansion work on the airport of Vilanculos,, in MOzambique s Inhambane province, the chairman of airport management form, Empresa de Aeroportos de Mocambique told Macauhub.
Diodino Cambaza said that when expansion work was complete, which would cost and estimated US$15 million, the airport s capacity would increase from 65,000 to 200,000 people per year. Cambaza also said that the Nacala military airbase, in Nampula province, would be transformed into a civil airport with an estimated investment of US$60 million.
