A NEW plan aimed at making the Cairngorms National Park a better place to live and visit has been given the go-ahead by Scottish Ministers.
The plan which aims to, among others, support sustainable deer management, boost tourism and make housing more affordable in the park area, is the first of its kind for the park.
It will be reviewed after 2012 but over the next 25 years it is hoped the plan, which focuses on better management of the area's habitats, will not only protect the park's wildlife, but improve the health, enjoyment and well-being of all who use it.
