Article: Deepening hole is bad for business.

STAFF at a Golborne business have been left fuming after a utility company left a gaping hole in the pavement outside their shop - for the SECOND time!

Part-owner of Gemini Embroidery on Heath Street, Brenda Robinson and her managing director, Wayne Cherry said the hole, dug by United Utilities, was a huge eyesore and had caused massive disruption for their customers.

Brenda said: "After the hole first appeared in January, we contacted the Leigh Reporter and surprise, surprise, the hole was filled in after the bad publicity.

"Then mid-way through April, it was dug again, and I thought it would probably be patched up more quickly this time after ...
