CINCINNATI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--February 22, 1996--LCA-Vision Inc. (NASDAQ:LCAV), a leading competitor in the refractive laser eye surgery sector, today opened its fifth U.S. medical facility for the quick, painless treatment of myopia using excimer lasers.
The new Greater Baltimore Vision Laser Center is a joint venture with the Greater Baltimore Medical Center, the city's largest hospital, and two ranking Baltimore-based ophthalmologists. Six myopic patients are scheduled to be treated the first day with the revolutionary procedure which can correct near-sightedness with a burst of laser energy.
